Description:

Continuing the conversation from ALA Annual 2014 on “The Challenges of "Movin' on Up as a Librarian of Color," this panel of professionals from academic and public libraries will discuss the challenges and strategies of gaining promotion as a librarian of color and dealing with microaggressions in the workplace. Panelists from BCALA, REFORMA, APALA and the GLBT Round Table will speak about how they learned to effectively manage their careers to “move on up.” This will be an opportunity to ask questions about job strategies or seek advice on career or management issues about advancing as a librarian of color
