The ALCTS Publisher Vendor Library Relations Interest Group. PVLR focuses on topics that interest librarians, publishers and vendors. The topic for Annual 2015 is”: Book metadata ... its creation, distribution or dissemination and use, but ultimately its optimal discoverability.

Book metadata will be discussed from a variety of perspectives from a panel of librarians, vendors and publishers. The panelists are: Noah Levin from Springer who will review publisher metadata, MJ Han a metadata librarian speaking about local practice and Suzanne Kemperman from OCLC who will talk about metadata partnerships for WorldCat discoverability. The Library of Congress with Karl Debus-Lopez and Camilla Williams will review LC’s CIP for ebooks and their work on using contributed publisher metadata via ONIX.
