This discussion will encapsulate key findings, trends and future directions of the role of libraries in Course Management Systems (CMS). Building on two past ALA Annual and Midwinter presentations and several years of research on the topic, the presenters will engage the audience in identifying key lessons and take-aways regarding the implementation of a robust presence for libraries in CMS. The discussion will highlight developments in library systems compatibility with CMS, such as Moodle, Blackboard, Canvas Instructure, and others. Focus will be on the future of these services for librarians and best practices.
